Adelante!

Sometimes solving one issue may not prevent repeat of future incidences of the same problem.  For retained clients who are receiving LACLJ’s holistic and unique legal services, we offer Project Adelante!, Spanish for “Moving Forward!”  This program offers case management, including referrals and assistance in areas like obtaining food and clothing, advocacy with the medical and social service systems, jobs, and housing.  While Project Adelante! is offered to all of our clients, it is particularly helpful to domestic violence survivors who are undocumented or underage and face unique and hindering challenges such as language barriers, fear of deportation, lack of transportation, and lack of resources.  The case manager can also provide emotional support for clients who are suffering from the challenges of navigating the legal system.
