Carlos graduated from Cal State L.A. with a BA in History. Prior to Joining LACLJ, Carlos worked for the Immigration Center for Women and Children (ICWC) working primarily with victims of domestic violence in their immigration matters. Carlos also worked for Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project as part of their Legal Orientation Program in the Adelanto Detention Center. There, Carlos assisted detainees with extensive criminal backgrounds in their removal proceedings.
