LACLJ Celebrating Survivors Gala Theme Logo with Woman Silhouette

On May 23rd, 2022, LACLJ hosted its annual awards gala, which is the organization’s largest fundraiser bringing together over 300 community members including leaders from the legal, nonprofit, corporate, and entertainment sectors.

At this event, we celebrated the efforts of those working to promote the safety and stability of domestic violence and sexual assault survivors in low-income communities. LACLJ recognized the following honorees: Pro Bono Partner of the Year Award to DLA Piper, Corporate Partner Award to Apple, and Cultural Ambassador Award to Marcelo Brutti & City National Bank’s Latino Community Network.

Celebrating Survivors featured inspiring client testimonials from two immigrant survivors of domestic violence. We were also proud to feature local artists, Yanely Milanes and the Neighborhood Orchestra Collective, who provided lively entertainment for all to enjoy.

Thanks to our generous sponsors and supporters, we raised over $340,000 to fund free legal representation and community-based services for low-income survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault!
