On behalf of the Board, Leadership Council, Staff and clients of Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended LACLJ’s 44th Anniversary Awards Gala.

The night featured heart felt testimonies from two LACLJ clients who courageously shared their stories of survival, a bold call to action by LACLJ Executive Director Matt Strieker to be more clear, vocal, and engaged in our work on behalf of survivors and immigrants, and the announcement of the LACLJ Hueston Hennigan Teen Project. The LACLJ Hueston Hennigan Teen Project will address the unique civil legal needs of our teen and young adult clients ages 18-24 facing adult issues.

LACLJ presented this year’s Justice Award to the Jenni Rivera Love Foundation for their passionate advocacy for survivors of domestic violence. First Foundation received the Corporation of the Year Award for its commitment and leadership in serving low income families in Los Angeles and Latham & Watkins received the Pro Bono Partner of the Year Award for their exceptional advocacy and commitment to serving low income survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.

If you were unable to attend, you can still support LACLJ’s provision of free legal services to domestic violence survivors with a donation by clicking here.

Again, thank you and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
